I try and keep things fresh in this column, sometimes it’s tough because there are a limited number of bands out there that allow audience taping of their shows. So when I see an artist like Taylor Hicks show up on my RSS feed to bt.etree.org, I have to take a look. Then, when I see he performed this George Harrison tune, with a gospel choir - and there’s video, how can I not use it? Are you near Durham, North Carolina? If so, you’re in luck - Taylor Hicks is playing the role of “Teen Angel” in a production of Grease for the first part of October. Oh yeah, that’s right.

OMG....I was there. When he sang "My Sweet Lord" at the WorkPlay I darn near fainted he sounded soooooo good. The entire show was hot, energetic and totally Taylor.
