Prayers needed

Ok I'm officially off my break cause I need some support here. I talked to my sister tonight who told me my uncle who never goes to the doctor went to the doctor because he was having knee pain. Well they did a through check-up and found a canerous tumor in his colon. He will be having an MRI next week and surgery from there. Please pray that the cancer has not spread. As some of you know I lost my grandma before Christmas. This would be her son and my dad's younger brother. This is too much for one family in a short period of time.

Oh How I know that feeling! Of course you and all your family will have my extra prayers!!! You know I just lost my step father three weeks ago from cancer.. it is so rough!

Yeah, I just started realising the truth of how my step dad wont be there when I go home to bvisit in July. My mom is now in assisted living and so much has changed for the worst. I am not sure I am ready for it..
Its a rough road to travel and it sucks that your on the same path as me.. I will keep praying for all of you

Renee, so sorry to hear this news and will definitely be keeping you in my prayers. I know how you feel as since 2001 I have lost my husband, two brothers, my dad, 8 friends (two died last year) and my cat. Life can be so hard but also gives you strength so hang in there.

You are certainly in my prayers too Renee. I can relate to everyones feelings here. I lost three of my grandparents in one year. My grandpa and grandma Parrish only 20 days apart. Like Jodie said...it's a very tough road to travel. Be strong my friend. You know you can turn to us here at TRD anytime. Love ya much!

Thanks everyone, I don't know when the surgery will be for sure. He's having an MRI sometime this week and go from there. I have a feeling it's gonna be a long week.

You know he is in my prayers. My mom had colon cancer 10 yrs ago and I had a precancerous condition 13 yrs ago. She is here 10 yrs later at 83.So one never knows. I am praying extra hard and hope his is treatable.May God give all of you some peace of mind.

Hey just wanted to update all on what's going on with my uncle's surgery. The surgery is scheduled for June 2, so about a week from today. I'll keep ya posted.

:flowerheart: Nope, surgery is Tuesday. According to my sister the tumor is in the lower intestine, which is good, but we still don't know what stage the cancer is in or if it has spread. Keep prayin'

Okay - so far, that looks encouraging. We'll keep praying though, never fear!

My uncle had his surgery today. Everything went well. Drs. removed 12inchs of large intestine and a half dollar size tumor surrounded by fatty tissue, which I'm told is a good thing. Keep prayin, I'll keep you posted.
