Adudition #5 - 9/26/12 757280 Hi there. Judging by the scenes that were shown at the end of last night's show I think we are nearing the end of the audition process. Sure hope so as each show has tons of past scenes, comments and chats from the judges.

Seems like this show only went to a few cities for the auditons as once again we are back in Providence, Rhode Island. Britney Spears chats with her manager while Demi Lovato tweets to the fans and surprisingly Simon Cowell rides into the arena on a scooter with a full police escort. Once inside the audition arena you can tell the audience is loving our judges. Anyhow after alot of backstage chat we finally get to the auditions. Here goes:

Adudition #5 - 9/26/12 412302 First up is the OG's a.k.a. original greeks named Adonis and John. Seems Adonis owns a diner and John is a waiter there. Good thing they have day jobs as they performance of Lionel Richie's "Hello" is horrible. With four no votes they are out the door. In fast clips we see 14 more contestants get the boot and I don't mean boot camp before we see a ton of commercials. Jeesh!

Before the next contestant we see Wade an assistant to the judges frantically searching for a straw hat for Britney Spears which was mentioned in her hotel room. After getting the hat, she decides she wants a tiara instead and later in the show puts it on Simon Cowell's head while they are backstage. He goes along for awhile but eventually puts it back on Britney's head as he feels she is a real princess. That is the end of the tiara as we never see it again.

Adudition #5 - 9/26/12 182355 Finally some real talent as 15 year old Dinah Jane Hansen takes the stage. This young lady lives in Santa Ana, California in a house that holds 23 people which includes mom, grandparents, uncles and grandchildren. The judges are amazed by this and wish her well. She is singing Beyonce's "If I Were A Boy". Her lower register needs work but once she hit the high notes she was utterly fantastic. I even got chills as mentioned also by Demi Lovato. Four yeses send her to boot camp.

Last season a group of solo artists were thrown together as a group with the name InTENsity. They were eliminated eventually. One of the ten was a kid named Arin Ray who is back again for a solo audition. Even though this kid is almost 17 years old he has turned from a boy to a man I think. With real polish he sings an original song called "Count On Me". Not only are the judges loving this but so is the audience. I found the song just okay but the singing was really good in my book. He once again goes to boot camp with four yeses under his belt.

In another array of fast clips we see some other contestants who make it to the next rounds. First is Natalie Martin who sings Sugarland's "Stay". Following her is a real cutie named Nick Perrelli who is only 18 years old but does a great job with "Come Fly With Me" which has been covered by a variety of big name artists. Then we have Beatrice Miller who is only 13 years old. She sings Dixie Chicks "Cowboy, Take Me Away". Lastly is a group of two guy rappers named One4Five. They have very good stage presence and can rap but I was turned off because one of the guys opts to wear zombie contacts. Scary looking for sure. Of all of these only Nick Perrelli interests me.

Adudition #5 - 9/26/12 66645 Next up is a ridiculous 52 year old woman who can barely talk English (I think she is Chinese). Anyhow Chiangy is dressed like a young girl going to her first "sailor academy". She thinks she can be as big a star as Michael Jackson. However she totally slaughters the song "My Heart Will Go On" by Celine Dion. Her sing-song off-key notes bring chuckles from the judges. Needless to say she gets four no votes. Her parting words are "sometimes you need to take a fall". Whatever!

Adudition #5 - 9/26/12 322546 Back in Greensboro, North Carolina, a cute 16 year old kid from Gilroy, California is next. Austin Corini already has admirers backstage as two girls tell him how cute he is and they want hugs, autograph and pictures. Austin does have a good personality and is pleased by the two girls interest. Once on stage he performs Hunter Hayes "Wanted". His voice is just okay for me but the judges think he has potential and send him to the next round.

Britney is really digging the next guy who is Nick Youngerman who does Vanilla Ice's "Ice, Ice Baby". She is dancing at her place as he raps. I personally like this song also and with four yeses Nick goes through.

Adudition #5 - 9/26/12 1863576907 A guy and girl named Jaime are next. These two lovebirds are constantly kissing, telling each other how much they love each other and let us know in the clips they are engaged. A bit overdone I think. They opt to duet to an original song called "Will You Be My Baby". It is cabaret at best and the judges pass on them. Frankly their voices were not terrible but I think the lovey/dovey factor might have killed their chances.

Adudition #5 - 9/26/12 945178 Now comes a very tattoed man named David Correy. The tattoes were a turn-off for me but the guy can sing as he performs Bruno Mars "Just The Way You Are". In fact at times he sounded like Bruno to my ears. David was adopted when he was a baby and he hopes his real mom sees him on stage. The judges like him and off he goes to boot camp.

lol! We are now in San Francisco, California and our first shots are a very un-likeable girl named Tara Simon who were perform after the next contestant.

The next contestant is none other than Gene Simmons daughter. Yep this KISS favorite is getting lots of attention from the crowds but claims he is only there to support his daughter. She hopes to make it on her own and not just because she is Gene's daughter. Sophie Tweed-Simmons opts to sing "Make You Feel My Love" originally by Bob Dylan although she says it is from Adele. Her voice is passable but I was not blown away. Neither was L.A. Reid who gives a no vote. The other three judges like her and she too is off to boot camp.

Now it is Tara Simon's turn after she gives some more catty remarks to whoever will listen. Seems Tara owns a performing arts studio and thinks she can be better than Christina Aguilera. She also wants to be one of the judges and really does not care which one leaves. The judges are not overly impressed with her demeanor so tell her to get on with the singing. She performs "Without You" by Usher and David Guetta. To me it seems like a lot of vocal gymnastics but the judges think she has potential and send her through. I would never vote for this chick.

Adudition #5 - 9/26/12 839840 I am really liking the next guy who is 37 year old Daryl Black. He is married with five kids and has such a nice personality. I was so reminded of Nat King Cole as he sang "Stereo Hearts" by Gym Class Heroes. I think this guy has a real chance to win as his silky voice was so good. The judges loved it also and he gets four yeses.

Adudition #5 - 9/26/12 88275 Our show is ending with clips of a young kid named Trevor Moran who finds a friend in the holding room. He is adorable and is waiting to perform. Then we get shots of him lying on the floor needing medical attention plus other drama coming on the Thursday show. What was so dumb about this is in other clips we have seen young Trevor does make it to boot camp. Bad editing X-Factor.

Adudition #5 - 9/26/12 833804 I'm kind of bummed out as with the addition of Daryl Black in the over 30's category. I already like every single one they have in this category. I also like some in the other categories. Tough call when it comes to who should be eliminated. One thing for sure several have real talent.

Well gotta run and I will be back later with the Thursday night re-cap. Until then take care all!

Thanks so much for posting recaps Crystal. I don't follow all the talent minute by minute during auditions but have found a couple of interesting ones .... like Daryl Black and Trevor Moran....mmmm...yeah...looking forward to seeing how Daryl does. I do really like him.
