But I don't agree with it! I'm a Christian, and there is some great music under that umbrella no question, but not everyone on that stage or watching live or on TV is, and I really don't believe in one religion being set apart from any other. If we have a Christian night, all other religions ought to be equally represented and what a mess that would be!

I don't think a Christian night would work on the American Idol stage. This area is just too vast and spread out. If you sing something to make one religious group happy it has to done for the others. That alone could be difficult. And I agree with Tyg....it would be a mess.

did yall read the thread?? my suggestion was a rock the hymns night. where the contestants pick a song from their church/religion and make it current for today. This would cover all 'regilions' and not just one.

But the thing is that each person would feel obligated to support their religion and that would be a train wreck. I mean, a Jewish fan would sing for the Jewish person, a Christian for the Christian...and what if someone's religion weren't represented? People wouldn't vote on talent, they'd vote on religion. Nope, I'm out. I really feel this would be a bad thing.
