First, $2000 a plate - way too steep for me. Unless Tay would agree to go home with me for dessert :)! But we are always talking about him as a savvy business man, and this just proves that point. Doing events like this and like the Liberty Bowl puts some serious green in his wallet and the whole charity aspect of how he has always represented himself shows him to be humble and thankful at the same time. If he keeps getting high, well-paid gigs about 7 times a year let's say, the rest of the year he can do as he wishes - to please himself and us Soul Patrollers who cannot ride the high life. God bless that man for keepng it simple most of the time and grabbing at the high profile gigs to further himself at a steady climb. You know, if you eat an elephant in great big bites over a short period of time, you'll get full quick and maybe get sick. BUT if you eat that elephant, one bite at a time, slow, steady, and with obvious enjoyment you have no need to worry about losing what ground you gain - even if you lose a little along the way, you'll never lose so much that it can't be easily regained. You go, you smart man you. We're here too. Bon appeit!
