Taylor has and always will be my top favorite from all seasons. He just has the extra something that is refreshing and unique.
Now the hard part of your question. I actually have several who share the second spot of my favorites. They are:
Bo Bice Clay Aiken Elliott Yamin Ace Young Melinda Doolittle Lakisha Jones
Coming in as runner-ups for me:
David Hernandez David Cook David Archuleta Michael Johns Carly Smithson Diana DeGarmo Chris Sligh Phil Stacey Mandisa
I like others but do own music from some of the above mentioned people and what I do not have I plan to get for sure. One thing American Idol has done for sure is introduce us to some fantastic singers.

:kisses: My top favorite singer that was not on AI has and always will be Elvis Presley. I have a lot of memorabilia of his not to mention dolls, cups, etc., etc. etc. My top favorite girl of all time has always been Cher although I do like and own music of others. However, I own all of Cher's music even as far back as when she first started with Sonny.
What can I say I just love music and so many artists have given me such pleasure listening to them.

Josiah Leming as been sign to a major recording contract, i believe he wa the first of his season to do so, and his cd is due out mid-October. I hope that everyone one here will support this very talented young man and buy his music and go to his concerts if given a chance. If you would like to here more of his music go to http://www.myspace.com/blowing_harp - where you will be greeted by a live version of the Maze. Thank God for Warner Bros.

I love Cher also, but I am a ginormous Cyndi Lauper fanatic - I just picked up her new album yesterday. And my two favourite piano men - beyond Brian and Loren, naturally - are Elton and Billy Joel. ~tyg

:) Hey Jodi, I did not know you liked Cher. My daughter took me to see her Farewell concert for my birthday and I have to say she puts on one heck of a show. It was fabulous. Plus you are so right, she has a great sense of humor and I also have liked how she tells it like it is without all the bull that so many celebritites give out.
Hey Mae, it is interesting that you put that video on this site. Yesterday I re-watched part of Season 6 when Jordin won and on the Idol Gives Back show, I found it amazing they were able to put Elvis and Celine Dion on stage together to sing his song "If I Can Dream". Plus when Elliott Yamin sang it on season 5 I thought he was great doing it. This song is one of my favorites of Elvis but my top favorite of all time is "I Want You, I Need You, I Love You". Of course I love most of Elvis's songs and could listen to them all day and never get bored. He was indeed a force in the music industry.
Taylor of course is right up there with my top favorite because he also brings such a unique and exciting take to music. Gee, I simply adore these two guys and luckily I have been able to see both in person.

you seen Elvis in person. i never had the chance. He died when i was just a little kid.
that is why seeing Taylor perform in person meant ever more to me. it would have meant a lot to me anyways since he is my favorite singer, however since i never got to see Elvis perform it meant that much more to me.
i guess that would sound stupid to a lot of people, but it is the truth.

My favorite AI performaers of course are Taylor and David H, but off of AI I love CHER always have, seen her farewell tour a few years ago and it was fantastic. Loved her performing.. The earliest performer I've liked is of course Elvis but never got to see him live, but I'm old so I liked a lot of guys that were popular when I was growing up..
