I Am Sick Of Being Tested In Life

For crying out loud, how much can one person take. First of all since 2001 I have lost my husband, two brothers, my father, 5 friends and my cat. These deaths have taken such a toll on me and I miss everyone and each day I try to be positive but sometimes the anger and remorse just grab hold of my heart.

Now I have this situation with my mom. Her surgery is scheduled on Feb. 12th and I am frightened out of my mind since this is a risky surgery and my mom is not all that confident in the doctor although he is the only surgeon in this area who does this type of procedure. I might add that he is highly regarded so I am hopeful all goes well in spite of my fear.

Then to top all this crap off two of my daughters came up over the weekend from California to celebrate my grandson's 10th birthday. They arrived last Thursday. After their arrival we went to lunch at the Nugget Casino. Both like to play blackjack and we were there for almost 3 hours. They played their game and started getting drunk. I did manage to get them to leave and have dinner plus spend some time with my other daughter and her sons. But as luck would have it, both girls decided to go back out for more blackjack and booze. At 4 am they took a cab to my place but during the ride got into a huge argument which developed into beating each other up. The cab driver called the cops and because the older daughter would not shut her mouth once the fight was broke up they arrested her for domestic battery. She had to stay in jail for at least 12 hours. The bail to get her out was $3,132.00. I almost choked hearing this one. However I did get a bail bondsman to cover this although his cost was $510.00 which is non-refundable. Luckily the daughter in question did have a few hundred with her and I covered the rest. Once out she paid me what I covered however she had to cancel her flight to make an appearance in court called alternative sentencing which is a crock of bull. Now she has to come back on March 3rd to go before the judge to see what is going to happen regarding fines or whatever. Although this daughter is reliable when sober I am now on the hook if she does not show up in court on the 3rd. I feel she will and hope she does because I will be stuck for the whole $3132 if she doesn't.

So in closing this rant I ask that you all keep me in your thoughts and pray that soon my life will get better as I am sick to death of all these headaches.

I so feel your pain CC. As responsible as our children are sometimes they do things that drive us nuts as mothers. Regardless of their age.

It was after 11 p.m. when my son decided to call me. He told me his girlfriend kicked him out of the apartment for...IDK....the hundredth time. She took his keys and his tax return. (don't know what she planned on doing with that since she can't access it) Anyway, he yelled and screamed like I can solve the problem. NO I CAN'T!!! He got mad at me, telling me it's just like the family to not do anything to help him out. I am so done with the crap he keeps dumping in my lap. I've got my own current issues to deal with. But apparently I'm suppose to put everything on hold (again) and solve his crap.

My heart goes out to you. I'll certainly keep you in my prayers. Maybe we should meet up somewhere and take a month long vacation. (wouldn't that be nice)

:( Another test for me. I went to Wal-Mart today to buy this utility drawer set. Our weather was slushy from rain and snow flurries. Anyway I was wearing the wrong kind of shoes because it was dry when I left home. As luck would have it upon entering the store I slipped on their cement and now have pulled a tendon in my leg and sprained my ankle. Oh the agony and even more so the embarassment of that fall. Jeesh Louise, I am hoping you all keep me in your thoughts and prayers that no more problems hit me. The Wal-Mart folks were so helpful to me and helped me get my stuff and put it in the car for me. They wanted to take me to a doctor but I refused as it was my own damn fault.

Now I am sore but keeping my leg up and thankfully alot of the swelling has gone down. Wouldn't you know it would be my bad leg. Hopefully it will be better in a few days.

P. S. Thanks for all your good thoughts on my behalf. I am so glad I have buddies like you.

Thanks for all the well wishes. I actually did not get to the doctor but each day the soreness if working out. I was pretty stiff yesterday but am better today.

Thanks for the offer of the blueberry muffin, they happen to be one of my favorites so when you eat one think of me. Deni the flowers are beautiful. I truly appreciate having buddies like you!

You're gonna think I'm nuts, but I always have like a home remedy or something to help. Next time you have a little money and go to WalMart or a vitamin store, pick up Vitamin E capsules. Open one up and topically put it on your boo boo - it'll help it get better!
And my muffin of choice - lemon poppyseed. But these muffins are double blueberry, and mmmmmm are they yummy!!!!!!!!

:ladybug: Thanks for the info on the vitamin E, I will get some. Boy do we have things in common. My other favorite muffin is also poppyseed.

Really? Oh cool - we'll have to muffin out! I'm the only one who loves poppyseed around here, so when I make them, I have to reaaaaaalllly want about a dozen of them *g*. Church does come in handy sometimes for extras though.
