hello Well, American Idol has finally started and once again we get a whole slew of the good, the bad and the ugly. I have posted these same thoughts on other websites so if you have already read them, sorry but here goes:

clap The Good - Well Maybe

Joey Catalone - lost 204 pounds, wow and he actually sounded good
Melanie Nyema - back-up singer for our guy Taylor, need to hear more
Junot Joyner - nice tone
Jose Candelaria - sang in Italian, tone is good
Jonathan Baines - looks like the kid next door but sang good
Angela Martin - Has a child with Retts Syndrome, great voice I think
Beth Stalker - sang Bewitched, Bothered, Bewildered pretty well
Chris Watson - nice young man who sang Follow Me
Brooke White - a nanny who might do well

Last but not least of the ones we actually saw, watch out for Kristy Lee Cook who has lived in a log cabin all her life. Wrong, she is a professional who did have a contract with Arista/Nashville who is a connection to the Davis group. Sorry, she is already not on my hit parade and I would vote for any amatuer to have her be eliminated. Nothing was mentioned about her having had a prior contract. She is a country singer and sounds just okay for me.

29 Make It Through From Philadelphia 76735 The Bad (Definitely)

Yuka - nice man, heavy accent
James Lewis - sang a gospel song like a moose
Mark Hayes - White Christmas, hey guy the holiday is over
Nick Stano - lousy
Sybill White - no good
Z. U. - Sorry did not catch the name but talked his song
Udi - My Way was very monotone
Alyse W. - long last name who screamed her song
Teresa Anello & Brandi Park - Screamed louder

They showed 29 (I counted them) failures trying to sing the song "I Love Rock & Roll". There were others who did not make it but all were in fast snippets.

29 Make It Through From Philadelphia 17486 The Ugly (or weird, pathetic, sad, etc):

Temptress Browne - 16 year old girl who just could not sing and actually did it for her very heavy-set mom who was there in a wheelchair. I felt for her and was glad the judges were kind but honestly this was sad.

Alexis Cohen - She is studying to be a vet. Omg, I worry for those animals. She is a good artist though and should maybe go into that field. She sang a little like Grace Slick as she did "Somebody To Love" and took the judges no very well until she got out the doors, then all hell broke loose with her obscentities. Pretty crazy I think.

Milo Turk - Ryan seems stunned that this 39 year old man wants to sing a song for Simon entitled "No Sex Allowed". Risque and in very bad taste in my opinion. He is shown the door but happy he got to perform.

Ben Harr? - Not sure on that last name but he comes in dressed in a black cloak to hide a very gross looking body dressed in a belly dancing costume. The judges comment about the very hairy chest and he asks if he can come back if he gets it removed. To get rid of him they say yes and lo and behold he does come back and does not get the ticket as he can not sing. Simon rudely says he is a big fat lump who wanted to be on t.v.

Paul Maturano - Sings a very scary song to Paula which gets him escorted to the door by security. Yeppers I do picture him as a stalker.

Christina - Sorry again, did not catch the last name but this girl is a huge fan of Star Wars and comes dressed somewhat like Princess Leia. She tells us right away she is a goof ball and I believe her as her actions are strange. She was an okay singer I guess but when she is turned down she tells Ryan and her grandparents she is not going to stand for it. Oh yea, wonder what she is going to do about it. Good question!

Many other strange to ridiculous people were shown but only in fast scenes but honestly sure wish they would just show us the talented ones. And so we end our first round of auditions and frankly I wish it was over completely and into the Hollywood round. Oh well, we only have 5 more shows like this.

wiggle Well gang, time to call it a night so until next time, take care!

Great Recap Concertcris,
I did watch last night and the stand outs for me were Angela Martin, the one with the ill child,

Melane Nyema, anyone that has seen Taylors concert knows she has a great voice but I'm afraid that her working with Taylor could be a downfall for her as far as Simon is concerned. I just hope they give her a chance..

Chris Watson, I thought he did great, he looks the part and can sing very well, He is on my A list right now and someone I will watch out for.

I didn't care for a couple of them that made it through, young yes, can sing yes but they just didn't hit the save button for me..

The bad ones were the usual run of the hopefulls that really had nothing to go on, I did like that Temptress, I felt so bad for her and was so happy that the judges treated her good and even talked her out, I also loved what her dad said to Simon, "You didn't treat her bad did you" For the first time in the 2 years I was proud of Simon, he did a great job with this gal.

I've read that some are not to happy that they did not see Taylor on the tower and could not see his picture on the wall, so I stuck the foot in the mouth once again and posted that TAYLOR was on the tower, but you only seen a very little bit of him and he was above the tower when it got to the top, I believe his picture on the was is inthe same place it was last season and Simon mentioned Taylor once and when Melanie auditioned and said that Taylor was a Charismatic performer Paula agreed and said "Yes he is" Guess I don't know what some expect from the show concerning Taylor, none of the other idols were mentioned at all..

I heard about that poor kid - and I admit it, I'm proud of Simon too.

29 Make It Through From Philadelphia 527840 for posting Sandi and Tyg. At this moment my favorites are Angela Martin, Chris Watson and Beth Stalker. I do think Melanie Nyema is a good singer but she seemed nervous when she first started singing. I knew right away Simon would say no to her but glad Randy and Paula put her through. I also hope they give her a chance.

Sandi, I know what you mean about people not seeing Taylor in the opening credits. Over at another site, many are stating they will not watch because of this insult. I did not see him in the beginning of the credits but during the auditions you can see him on the wall behind Simon of all people. He is next to Fantasia and Carrie.

I agree that Simon did a nice job being sweet to that 16 year old girl. In fact all of the judging last night was kinder I thought overall.

Many over at the AI site are for Kristy Lee Cook already. This worries me some because so many amateurs that do have talent might not get a fair shake.

Anyway, be back later with my Dallas report.

Tonight when you watch the show watch the tower, I believe it's the same it was when they had their "American Idol Gives Back" you can see part of Taylors sleeve BUT once the tower gets to the top they show him almost on top of the tower, I really think his wall picture is in the same place it was last season.

I seen that a lot were going for Kristi, I agree she was good but Ididn't think she was the stand out, oh is she the one that had the country in her? I think she's the one that sounded a little country to me.
