My Picks for the Top 36 - 1/30/09

As mentioned in my prior postings I do have some favorites and also potentials who hopefully make the top 36. Sadly I only like 22 of the auditions we saw. Of course that number might increase once we get to see all the people who actually went to Hollywood. I am hearing 147 got tickets and some of them we did not see perform so I am still open on who I will like. In the meantime, here is my current list of favorites and potentials:

The only one who stuck out for me was Danny. I can't recall where from, though. You're good.

Yeppers he was in Kansas City for his audition and he is numero uno for me currently. I actually did not care for many of the girls who made it that we have seen so in reality it doesn't matter so much who makes it of them but once again it all really depends on who does good in Hollywood. I am so looking forward to that coming on.

Thanks for the compliment but have to confess I tape the show which is why my memory is so good. Also take notes when someone really peaks my interest. As you can see I am a diehard fan of this show.

Over the last ten to twelve years, I've had to become very much a catchascatchcan anything person, which is what amazes me about Taylor. I can drop and not miss just about anything with no problem. Taylor, on the other hand, I am always starved for more.

I picked Kia Kalama for my favorite this season, so far that is. But then I didn't see the Salt Lake auditions so who knows.

I really like Kia also and he is my second choice at the moment. I am hoping he gets a shave and cleans up some as he looked like a rag mop sort of during his audition but I do love his voice. I am not so sure if I am going to like the new way they plan to pick the top 12 but guess we will see how it goes. The main thing is I am hoping many of my "now" favorites get into the top 36. Another factor of course is how well my favorites do as the show progresses. On season 5 I started out liking Chris Daughtry but I got tired of him as the show progressed. Taylor I was hooked on immediately and he was my top guy throughout that season and still is my top favorite of all-time. I just adore him so much! So I guess my favorites could change as this season goes on but we will see.

Hear ya there CC, Season 5 Taylor caught me with his first note, but I did like Elliott and Mandisa as well, but Taylor was the one I got hooked on right away, the same with Kai, he's the only one I've heard that made me look up from what I was doing to watch.. He reminds me in looks right now anyway of the guy that plays on Numb3ers the young one with the math knowledge, Well he looked like that last season anyway this season they cut his hair and cleaned him up darn anyway ha..

Late as usual but what else is new? Right? hehehe

Joe'sPlace spoiled them. She is the one who correctly spoiled all Top 24 last season.

Well it this is indeed the list I am sort of bummed as several I wanted to see more of are not on it. However I am glad to see my top two favorites made it plus several others I do like. Some of the names I do not recognize but I am assuming these are the ones we did not get to see audition. Thanks for the info.

I was surprised to see David Osmond not on the list. It's ok! At least two of my favorite picks make it.

Even tho last year the same person spoiled the Top 24 with 100% accuracy, this could always be wrong. Apparently it was a lot harder this season to get contestant information.

I'm just excitd for Hollywood week to start tomorrow and we will know the Top 36 for sure soon.

I'm worried about the new format in the top 36. I'm afraid there will be so many who are good that will not make Top 12. I think it will be even more important to vote for who we like if we want them to stay. I wasn't planning on voting this season but we'll see...i say that every season. lol

I know what you mean Angie. I have told myself this season (as well as last) that I would not vote. I did anyway and probably will this time too. I guess I can't help it. I get too caught up in the contestants. Especially the ones I want to vote for.

The show is very addicting and it's very easy to get caught up in a contestant and just want them to get as far as they possibly can and hopefully win it all. Especially the ones you like and the only way to do that is to vote and hope it helps them. These people come into our homes every week and we get attached. At least I know I do.

Yepper, season five was all about Taylor. Season six and seven were sort of lackluster in talent but then the David's (Cook and Archuleta) hooked themselves into my heart. Damn them anyway. LOL
