| David Cook's new single is available to listen to on AOL music. Take a listen. You will not be disappointed. At least I wasn't! It will be available on iTunes for purchase 9/30 http://www.popeater.com/music/article/exclusive-david-cook-turns-the-light-on/185647A little tidbit...it wasn't supposed to be released until today. David is full of surprises. Received an email yesterday from www.DavidCookOfficial.com that it was going to be released a day early! OH Boy...was I in heaven. He released teh lyrics on his official site last week. I'll post them below. This song to me is a perfect transition from Time of My Life to introduce people who David Cook is as an artist/songwriter. It is far different from his pre-Idol music, but if he were to go that route he wouldn't keep the AI crowd. It's pure rock! If anyone is interested in any of his pre-Idol music, there is a lot, let me know. He has his preIdol CD called Analog Heart and also in high school he started a band called Axium and there are plenty of gems from that band. Seriously, if you love rock you will love it. Jodie...I know you might enjoy a listen! Seriously...go listen to his new single and if you like vote as well and even go as far as purchasing it on iTunes on 9/30! I for one am in love with this song and in love with this man. :) | |

| LIGHT ON
Never really said too much Afraid it wouldn’t be enough Just try to keep my spirits up When there’s no point in grieving Doesn’t matter anyway Words could never make me stay Words will never take my place When you know I’m leaving
Try to leave a light on when I’m gone Something I rely on to get home One I can feel at night A naked light, a fire to keep me warm Try to leave a light on when I’m gone Even in the daylight, shine on And when it’s late at night you can look inside You won’t feel so alone
You know we’ve been down that road What seems a thousand times before My back to a closing door and my eyes to the seasons That roll out underneath my heels And you don’t know how bad it feels To leave the only one that I have ever believed in
Try to leave a light on when I’m gone Something I rely on to get home One I can feel at night A naked light, a fire to keep me warm Try to leave a light on when I’m gone Even in the daylight, shine on And when it’s late at night you can look inside You won’t feel so alone
Sometimes it feels like we’ve run out of luck When the signal keeps on breaking up When the wires cross in my brain You’ll start my heart again When I come along
Try to leave a light on when I’m gone Something I rely on to get home One I can feel at night A naked light, a fire to keep me warm Try to leave a light on when I’m gone Even in the daylight, shine on And when it’s late at night you can look inside You won’t feel so alone

Well...LOL...he doesn't really like my new desktop wallpaper. So I asked him if he'd prefer I plaster a picture of him on my computer and he said no. So I told him that Cookie stays. LOL

No. I don't follow Josiah. He's not exactly my cup of tea. I thought he should have made the top 24, but other than that I'm not really interested in him. In this thread I'm helping to spread the word of David Cook's new single and CD. Listen if you like...don't listen if you don't want to. I'm not forcing anyone.

| Cook is not a Daughtry clone. Cook can sing anything. Daughtry can't. | |
